Our Cleaning Process – Hot Water Extraction

  • We will visually inspect your carpet, identifying potential permanent stains. Our cleaning equipment combined with the unique cleaning process will ensure your carpets are thoroughly cleaned
  • The carpet cleaning method we use is hot water extraction, also known as steam cleaning, as recommended by almost every carpet manufacturer
  • Hot water extraction has evolved over the past few years, now using better equipment, techniques, and solutions. Hot water extraction equipment is designed to inject clean hot water based solutions at high pressure, extracting out the resulting dirty water into a separate waste tank or waste point.
  • This method uses the least harmful detergents and solutions, compared to many of the alternative methods, the key being water (H20)

Method Statement

Wet Extraction System (non-rotary)

Work to be carried out in the following order:

  • Clearance of the area to include bins, chairs, beds and any other easily moved object, unless told otherwise
  • Exceptionally dusty/debris areas will be vacuumed prior to cleaning
  • Spot removal prior to pre-spraying carpet
  • Pre-spray is diluted according to product directions and applied using a pressure spray, to all areas particularly traffic lanes and spots
  • The Hot Water Extraction machine is filled with hot/warm water using appropriate mix ratios of the detergents used
  • De-foamer is added to the machine to avoid excessive foaming
  • The operative uses a machine in conjunction with a wand, putting pressure forwards and back, injecting the solution into the deep layers of the carpet as the high powered vacuum motors extract the dirtied water
  • Volume of solution is appropriate to avoid over wetting, carpets are left damp
  • Waste is emptied at sewer points periodically
  • Post spotting is carried out to remaining marks/spots
  • Furniture returned to original positions appropriately unless likely to hinder drying
